Hang (a steady dirge in E minor)

Rope areound your neck
Horse takes a step
Then you sway

Dust blows through your hair
The people coldly stare
As you hang

Life…
has come to an end
Swing…
on this tree limb

Now you do what you do
Cause you done what you done
Now you pay

Lonesome tree
On a lonely hill
As the night, claims the day

Life…
has come to an end
Swing…
on this tree limb

Think about life
As you’re facing death
At the end…
Of    this    rope

One Response to Hang (a steady dirge in E minor)

You know when you said you wanted to move away from light-hearted and toward meaningful, deeper material? Well, I think you’re finding your way.

This is good stuff. Depressing, but good nonetheless. 🙂
